Brooklyn's finest boutique record label, Bastard Jazz, returns with Hear No Evil Volume 2- a follow-up to their long sold-out first volume, issued on 12vinyl in 2007. Sticking to the same format, Vol. 2 showcases five genre-defying beat-oriented tracks from some of our favorite up-and-coming producers and extended musical family.

Starting things off, Brooklyn's Dhundee delivers "ShoShot" a tune that takes subtle cues from Bass Music, Baltimore Club, Hip-Hop, and Classic Dance Records. Dhundee gravitates into a deep Rhodes groove before exploding into heavy early rave synth stab madness....a complete dancefloor monster that will appeal to DJs across the board. Next up, long-time Bastard Jazz producer Jugoe returns triumphantly to the label with "In Memory Of" a deep, druggy joint with a pulsing kick-and-clap break, female vocal Ooohs & Ahhs and sleepy 303 lines...perfect late night fodder. San Francisco's Double Identity aka DJ Tomas delivers his second track for Bastard Jazz in the big sound of "Jah Arise" featuring a massive 105BPM drumbreak, dubbed out skanks, detached synths, and a nasty steppers bassline that's sure to kill off many a soundbwoy.

Next up, Bastard Jazz next door neighbor, drinking buddy, and member of the Midnight Lab Band, Oneman, comes through with "No Life On Saturn"- a warm piece of baeleric braindance sound and lastly, Ireland's Colm K, fresh off his big summertime "Dancing Mood" record on BSTRD Boots gives us "Love To Love You" a lovely and classic piece of instrumental hip-hop that will get the heads noddin' and feet shufflin' a great closer to the compilation.
